Walk

I mirror the breathing of a sleeping dog who dreams of chasing cats On those walks I go to meet myself. My jacket clings to me, fluttering like an impatient curtain. It is tired of me being left open so thoughtlessly, I incline the world toward fog and wind and goodbye notes, Sometimes sun on snow.

I've let myself get so caught up in training myself to be a good adult I feel like I'm losing touch with the cheerful, creative, bizarre little girl that I've always been. I'm going to read fiction, take pictures without goals, and cut myself a little slack from now on. I've been doing none of those three things for a while and it's ridiculous.

Look for more art, I know some will come!
